I have two favorite hymns, with a few following close behind. The first is Be Thou My Vision. This song became dear to me after singing it in choir. I will always like it.
The second is In Christ Alone. This song I have just recently learned, in church. I love it. It sounds wonderful with our small church singing it on Sundays. I wish Aaron played it every Sunday. :)
In Christ Alone
by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all-
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid-
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine-
Bought with precious blood of Christ.
No Guilt in life, no fear in death-
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home-
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.
The last four lines are my favorite.
In Christ Alone,
Ashley

Ahley!
It's nice to meet you!
Four brothers? I have three, but my youngest brother is turning sixteen next week. I remember well the days of chasing him around though!
How did you come to visit my blog?
Have you been to my sister Emma's?
There is a link to her on my blog called "lil'sis" or something like that. She is living with my family at present, and I feel like I'm getting a bargain with all her help. I chased her around too, as my last four siblings were born when I was 11, 12, 13, and 14 years old.
I have to say that I like L.M. Montgomery and Tasha Tudor too,!
Annnnnd, I think you should start quilting - it's lots of fun:-)
I am looking forward to visiting your blog again:-)
Love,
Momma Bug
That is a wonderful hymn. I love The Old Rugged Cross. I hope you are having a blessed Sunday.

Analene, yes four brothers.I know, it seem's like just yesterday I was at Mattie Grace's 12th birthday party! And now she is almost 15, and like you said, Ben is turning 16. Oh my, time does fly! I have been reading your blog ever since MG told me about it, in April, I think. I also read Emma's. I am more of a lurker though. *smiles* Boy, Emma has been all over the place it seems like! First with you, then you all came back here, then went back, taking Charlie, Hannah and the kids with you. Then Mattie said Emma was back with you, because I thouhgt she had come back for good. Lol, so confusing. :)
Yes, I am hoping to start uilting this year. First I am going to sew some dresses, from Sense and Sensibility patterns. (link on my side bar) Oh, and we have some mutual friends, the Mathers'. We go to church with them. Pat is the pastor. They are such a wonderful family, as I am sure you know. :)
Kelli- Thank you, I did have a very blessed Sunday. Church was wonderful. I think I may post some pictures, if I can figure out how too.
Thanks for commenting, I really enjoy it!
Time does fly! Daniel is 17! And FINALLY taller than me! :) I guess everybody is getting taller than me.
I love the song In Christ Alone too!

Oh, I love In Christ Alone! Beautiful song!!!
"Be Thou My Vision" is one of my very favorites, too. I love the traditional hymns of the church. Sadly, many churches don't sing them anymore!
You have such a lovely blog. :-)

Hi Emmy! Boy, you commented a lot! Lol.
I did one twice on accident. It was acting up. That's embarrassing. *blush* :)
