Hello there! It surely has been a long time since I posted anything worth looking at. How I have neglected this blog!

Over Memorial Day weekend I planted our 100 strawberry plants, and we all worked in the garden (pictures to come). We got almost all of the tomato plants in the ground.

Dad finished fencing off the front of our property this weekend. Our dog Sweetie doesn't stay in the goat pen where she belongs, but prefers to slowly walk around patrolling the property. We live on a fairly busy street, and even though she doesn't go in the road, there is that slight chance she might. Now we don't need to worry about her being out when we are gone. How many times we have come home and she has been laying in the front yard, with a look that seems to say "Isn't this where I belong, close to my people? Please, don't make me go back with those goats and my obnoxious brother."

Here are a couple photo's I took the other evening. I was experimenting with backlight (is that the correct terminology?) where the light is behind your subject.

Have a good evening,

My friend Faith (a.k.a. ponygirl) tagged me, and awarded me the Horse Lovers award. Thank you sweet Faithy!

What are you doing right now? posting

What book are you reading right now? my Bible, and The Wide Wide World.

What do you do in your spare time? read, sew, bake, lots of things.

How often do you get tagged? every once in a while

Lord of the Rings vs. Twilight? I like LOTR. I've never seen, or have any desire to see, Twilight.

Winter vs. Summer? Both. :-)

Fall vs. Spring? BOTH!

Fall vs. Winter? Both.

Spring vs. Summer? I love all the seasons!

Cats vs. Dogs? Dogs.

Fairies vs. Elves? Elves.

Humans vs. Elves? Humans

Humans vs. Fairies? Humans. These questions are so weird.

~Final question~
who are you tagging?

How about whoever wants to be tagged is tagged? That makes it easy on everyone. I don't have to tag you, and you don't feel obligated to do this meme if you don't want to.
And I award Bethany the Horse Crazy Award!

a handmade gift

For my Mom's birthday, I embroidered the word "home" and words describing home; cozy, tidy, relaxing, happy, pretty, and peaceful.
note: i was still working on it when this photo was taken, so not all the words are there.
